THE STATE.

THE STATE’S WAR ON TERRORISM, IS TERRORISM.

Is there is some connection between the present state of affairs in the world today and the fact that, of the two most militarily powerful nations in the world, one, by slight of hand, is under the control of a former head of the KGB and the other, by corruption, has been stolen by the son of a former head of the CIA. Neither of these organisations has been noted for its commitment to human rights, and both of which have a long history of supporting terrorist movements in other countries?
While the Russians were negotiating with the Beslan “terrorists”, the Russian army in Grozny was continuing with impunity to rape, murder and pillage under the licence granted it by Putin, as part of his cynical pre-election campaign, Russian state terrorism in Chechnya does not excuse what happened in Beslan but it does help to explain it. In terms of dead women and children, Chechnya is much more devastating.
When the Americans supplied Stingers, invaluable for bring down Russian helicopters, trained and supplied other weapons to the mujahideen in Afghanistan, were they fighting terrorism or aiding and abetting it?
Recently Israeli soldiers killed a 15-year-old by running him down with their Jeep, they shot dead an 11-year-old boy for throwing stones at them, the sort of thing the Israelis have been doing for many, many years; is this part of a war on terrorism, or is it terrorism?
The American’s in Iraq, duplicating Israeli tactics, willing to slaughter a substantial number of women and children when bombing and rocketing residential areas where they believe a "terrorist “ or “insurgent” might be hiding, is creating hate of the Americans and other Westerners among the Iraqi people. Far from
reducing the number of “insurgents” it helps to recruit them.
The Americans in Iraq, the Israelis in Palestine and the Russians in Chechnya, are all eager to justify their actions as part of the a on global terrorism, their most valuable political asset is al Qaeda. If it didn’t exist, the enemy without, would be created in one form or another.
Years of Israeli terror is wreaking havoc in Palestine; American terror is wreaking havoc in Iraq; Russian terror is wreaking havoc in Chechnya. The war on terrorism is terrorism by the State and in a much more grand fashion than any “terrorist” group could hope to achieve. No “terrorist” group could have achieved the enslavement of the Palestinian people, nor that number of deaths, no “terrorist” group could have achieved the devastation visited on Afghanistan, nor that number of deaths, and no “terrorist” group could have so crippled the entire infrastructure of Iraq, nor caused that number of deaths. No “terrorist” group that is without the power of an imperialist State.
